About Me and the bees

Welcome to Tuskegee Honey LLC

Tuskegee Honey LLC is Locally Produced in Tuskegee, Alabama ! When people say you should buy your honey from a local beekeeper, that's me! My bees are housed right here in Tuskegee, Alabama! We lightly filter the honey once we collect it from the hives. We do our best to keep it close to how bees created it. This means that our honey still has all of it's original qualities that make our honey so great. Your first taste lets you know that our honey is made from local wildflowers. It's hard to deny that wonderful flavor! We sell our honey in limited amounts, and it sells out every time we harvest and package it, so don't wait too long to decide to place your next order.
Do not feed honey to infants under 1 year of age.

About TuskegeeHoney.com

Our Recipes

At Tuskegee Honey, I produce raw, local wildflower honey in small seasonal batches.
Some years I have honey, some years I don’t — because I follow nature’s lead.

My mission is to provide amazing honey that reflects the health of our bees, our land, and the Alabama wildflowers that sustain them.

🐝 What I do:

  • I operate a small-scale, boutique honey bee apiary focused on producing raw, local wildflower honey using traditional and sustainable beekeeping practices.
  • The honey me and the bees produce is a seasonal specialty product, reflecting the natural rhythms of the land, weather, and pollinator health.
  • Some years I have plenty of honey, some years I don’t, but every harvest is rooted in the landscape of our native Tuskegee Alabama Black Belt Prairie Wildflower and Pollinator land.
  • I feel this approach honors the bees, the environment, and the community, even as I explore different hive types and low-intervention techniques. My Tuskegee Honey operation is about letting the bees lead.

🐝 Core Principles:

  • Boutique & Seasonal: I offer honey when the bees and environment allow.
  • Natural & Raw: Local, raw honey no heat processing, no additives.
  • Experimental but Grounded: I test hive styles and methods to improve my honey bee health and sustainability.
  • Mission-Driven: My beekeeping management style fits into a larger web of community, habitat restoration, and educational projects.

    What's unique about our honey?

    • Our honey is harvested from only honeybee hives that we own.
    • Our beehives are located on land that we own and manage.
    • Our bees create honey from local wildflowers, fruit trees, and vegetables we grow in Tuskegee, Alabama.
    • Each jar contains only Pure Raw Local Honey Lightly Filtered and harvested by hand direct from our hives.
    • Straight from the hive to bottle to you! We only lightly filter our honey.
    • We do not heat our honey so that we can preserve all the natural properties.
    • We bottle our Raw Honey in small batches because our primary goal is the survival of our honey bee colonies.
    • We are fortunate that a few times per year, we're able to collect surplus honey to share with you; we always leave enough food for our bees.
